3 Part Covid Series
Final Project: Assigned to create 3 different images of how our world is being affected by covid.
At the beginning of the pandemic, especially when this project was assigned, the topic of Covid was all over the news. News of Covid spread faster than the virus and peoples heads were filled with fear and confusion. All anyone could really think about was Covid.
In theatre, the ghost light is almost like a symbol. It’s there to light the stage until someone comes to unplug it to start working on a show. During the time of Covid all theatres were forced to close down. This stage light is here to hold our place until we are able to come back and unplug it to begin creating and performing again.
Everyone’s lives were put to an abrupt stop due to Covid. It was hard to get away from the fact that this is how our lives had to be for the time being. We have to sit and wait until the problem at hand is fixed and it is once again safe enough to continue as “normal”.
